It’s harvest time at the community garden in Nome. The garden next to the Nome Food Bank is finishing up its first season. Despite the late start in July, founder Cheryl Thompson says community gardeners successfully sprouted broccoli, cabbage, mizuna, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, radishes, onions, swiss chard, turnips and peas.
