After waiting about an hour at the banks of the Kuskokwim River, Aliy Zirkle’s team appeared from the river bend. Zirkle was first into Nikolai this morning at 9:14 with 16 dogs – she arrived 22 minutes ahead of John Baker, with Lance Mackey and Hugh Neff close behind and said they may have let her pass to break a bit of trail:
