At State Cross-Country Meet, Making Records And Memories

Twenty-two athletes represented the Bering Strait, Nome and Kotzebue school districts at the 1A/2A/3A State Championships in Anchorage on Saturday. Not only was it great competition, the Nome co-head coach says, the students also made “memories that they’re going to remember.”

After regional championships this past Saturday, athletes from across the region will compete at the state cross-country running competition in Anchorage this weekend.
Nome Hosts Cross-Country Invite; In Volleyball, Kotzebue Huskies Defeat Lady Nanooks

Teams from Kotzebue, Teller, White Mountain, and Savoonga visited Nome for the Nome Cross-Country Invite. And the Kotzebue Huskies volleyball team hosted the Nome Nanooks, resulting in a Kotzebue win.
