KNOM’s First Days, 46 Years Ago
46 years ago this month, KNOM signed on for its very first broadcast day. In that summer of 1971, the station beamed the very first hourly newscasts in Alaska west of Anchorage, as well as KNOM’s first live Catholic Mass from Nome.
