As Advent begins, we find ourselves waiting once again, waiting in darkness for Christ’s light to break through. These weeks remind us that God’s greatest work often begins quietly: in small places, humble hearts, and moments of hope shared between neighbors. This liturgical year, Year A, centers on the Gospel of Matthew, which reveals Christ as Emmanuel, “God with us.” Matthew reminds us that Jesus is not distant but present in our daily lives, found in kindness, in mercy, and in the steady faith we carry even when the world feels uncertain.
At KNOM Radio Mission, that spirit of Emmanuel shines each day. Through your prayers and generosity, the Good News continues to reach the most remote corners of Western Alaska. Whether it’s a comforting word on a long winter night, a song that lifts the heart, or the familiar voice of a friend on the air, your support helps carry Christ’s light into homes and hearts across our region. Thank you for walking with us in faith and friendship this year. Your kindness makes everything we do possible. We would love to hear from you. Email us at belong@knom.org or call 907-868-1200. You are always in our prayers. Merry Christmas!
