Recipe – Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 cups brown sugar
  • 1 ¼ cups sugar
  • 1 ¼ Crisco
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can (16 oz) pumpkin
  • 3 cups sifted flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons baking soda
  • 3 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon allspice
  • ½ teaspoon ginger
  • ½ cups chopped pecans

Directions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl combine sugar, Crisco, and eggs. Beat for 2 minutes on medium speed, add pumpkin.
  2. Sift together flour, salt, soda, and spices.Gradually blend into creamed mixture
  3. Beat 2 minutes on medium speed. Stir in pecans.
  4. Pour into greased and floured loaf pans
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 60-65 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes, remove from pan.
