The Nome City Council meets tonight for a regularly scheduled meeting.
Six resolutions will be put to a vote. Up for approval is a contract between the City and the Nome Chamber of Commerce for visitor and tourism services, as well as a contract to approve state lobbying services for the city this upcoming fiscal year.
In addition, two agreements will be put to a vote. One would permit the City of Nome to assist the Alaska State Troopers with dispatch services; the other would continue partnership with Bechtol Planning & Development for city planning services.
The final resolution on the agenda tonight honors Franklin D. Okleasik for his contributions to the City of Nome.
