KNOM presents the 2016 Christmas play, titled “The Last Train to Everywhere.” Every year, the KNOM volunteers write and produce their own original radio play, to be broadcast on Christmas. KNOM has been airing old plays every afternoon as we count down to Christmas, and it’s been fascinating to hear how the same prompt has resulted in such different, exciting stories each winter. I’ve heard plays about the first Christmas, feuding detectives, battling superheroes, and a missing Santa Claus!
“The Last Train to Everywhere” is inspired by the rusty, abandoned train that has been sitting just outside of Nome since the Gold Rush era. But in our story, a naughty child receives a magic piece of coal that makes the train come to life. If you want to hear what happens next, then all-aboard! Tune in to this year’s Christmas play on KNOM (780 AM, 96.1 FM) at noon on Christmas Day.
You can also listen to the play right here, using our online audio player.
Happy Holidays, from all of us at KNOM!
