Unofficial results from the 2019 Nome Municipal Election show Mayor Beneville will keep his seat as mayor with 300 votes, 61% of voters for him, and 36%, or 175 votes for Keith Morrison.
For City Council Seat E, Jerald Brown won with 417 votes and 93% of the vote. He ran unopposed.
For City Council Seat F Mark Johnson won with 421 votes and 93% of the vote. He also ran unopposed.
For School Board Seat E Barb Amarok won with 404 votes at 91% of the vote. There were no challengers running against her.
For School Board Seat A, Darlene Trigg won with 385 votes and 89% of the vote . She was the lone candidate for that seat.
And for Utility Board Seat A, Pat Knoedel won with 434 votes and 96% of the vote. He ran unopposed.
Utility Board Seat D was completely open. Larry Pederson had the most write-in votes with 29 but that doesn’t meet the requirement of 50% of the vote, plus 1. Pederson only had 16% of the vote. Jerald Hughes had 25 votes.
A total of 492 ballots were cast, approximately 18.4% of eligible voters. These results are unofficial, but official results will be made available Thursday at noon.
