Gail R. Schubert, who has been CEO of Bering Straits Native Corporation since 2009 and president since 2010, will no longer serve in that role.
That’s according to a statement from the BSNC Board of Directors released May 26.
Executive Vice President Dan Graham will serve as Interim President and CEO. The statement did not indicate if the search for Schubert’s permanent replacement has begun.
Graham has served on the senior executive team at the corporation for nine years and has worked in leadership roles at Alaska Native corporations for a more than two decades.
BSNC’s statement praised Schubert for growing the corporation’s annual revenue to $661 million in fiscal year 2023.
Schubert had more than three decades of experience with the BSNC board.
