Musher Zack Steer was in an appreciative mood when he pulled into Nikolai on Tuesday. When our on-the-trail reporter Laureli caught up with him, he was full of praise for his dog team – as well as for the “gourmet” food that the checkpoint had to offer:
Zack Steer was in 10th position as of late Tuesday night; he pulled out of the McGrath checkpoint at 10:57pm with 15 dogs.
