Christ is risen! Indeed He is risen, alleluia! This timeless proclamation resounds through the ages. From the first twelve apostles to today, Christians have borne the solemn duty to proclaim the Risen Lord to the ends of the earth. Whether an executioner’s sword, perils at sea, or unknown dangers in far-off lands, Christians have braved it all to preach the Gospel. When the Church sings, “O death! Where is your sting?” it is much more than mere pious poetry.
For more than fifty years, KNOM has lent its humble voice to this same mission. Especially on these sacred days, everyone across Western Alaska can listen to Church services and hear the Gospel beamed directly into their homes and hearts. Every day, the airwaves carry prayers and inspirational messages to people across Western Alaska, reminding them that even amid the difficulties of life, they are loved and valued, and the same Christ who conquered the tomb can help them rise above and heal from suffering.
