Letter From the GM
My oh my, what a wonderful year it has been! As we close out 2025, we have so much to be thankful for. This year, we launched new programming, built several new local partnerships that strengthen our work, and saw remarkable growth in our reach. We went from approximately 2.5 million social media impressions last year to nearly 17 million this year. That means that, because of your support, our work has been viewed online almost 17 million times. Amazing!
And as icing on the cake, the hardworking staff at KNOM earned even more recognition for their dedication. This year alone, we brought home four awards from the Alaska Press Club and three new Goldie Awards.
I am filled with gratitude when I look at our budget numbers for the year. Not only did donor support hold steady during the last fiscal year, but the kindness and thoughtfulness shown through estate planning gifts helped sustain KNOM amid rising costs—particularly utilities and other expenses beyond our control.
Finally, I want to share an update: our Development Director, Cindy Lentine, is no longer with KNOM.
