Nome’s Hanson’s Trading Co. Included in Perdue Chicken Recall

Perdue Foods has issued a recall of over 167,000 pounds of frozen, ready-to-eat chicken products that may be contaminated with metal wire, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The recall includes “PERDUE Simply Smart ORGANICS Breaded Chicken Breast Nuggets,” “PERDUE Chicken Breast Tenders,” and “BUTCHERBOX Organic Chicken Breast Nuggets,” all with a “Best If Used By” date of March 23, 2025.

These products were sold at retail locations nationwide, including Nome’s Hanson’s Trading Co. grocery store. For the full list of stores known to have sold the recalled goods, click here.

Consumers who purchased the affected items are advised not to consume them and to either dispose of the product or return it to the place of purchase. Questions about the recall can be directed to Perdue Consumer Care at 1-866-866-3703.
