Dear Friend… (November 2021)

Life in Western Alaska is labor intensive, and often challenging and uncomfortable. On the surface, it is a sacrifice. However, a simple life is an intentional choice. Life does not have to be easy to have dignity and goodness.

Yet, smalltown life offers the gift of being seen for who you truly are. It is grounding to have neighbors who genuinely know one another. Without the constant hunt for material wealth, spiritual riches become evident: apologizing when you do something wrong and offering forgiveness to others.

Christ and his disciples modeled the joy of a simple life in their community. In sharing and welcoming people they created healing, wholeness, and restoration in the world. When they lacked resources, God multiplied what they had so there would always be more to share.

By sharing your resources, you multiply radio companionship for Western Alaska. Thank you!
