When mushers break trail with dog teams in deep snow, new trails are created that sometimes are more efficient than the old ones.
After a year of adaptation amid the fear of illness, with travel restrictions that severely impacted bush life in Alaska, Western Alaskans have together forged new trails. Some of them are burdensome and hard to travel, while others have brought new shortcuts, innovations, and adaptations.
As we emerge together, new paths may not always follow the old ones – but will always lead home. At KNOM, we trust the future because God is staking the trail.
This race season, thank you for being a trailbreaker!
