Last weekend, 16 mushers and their dog teams ran the Kobuk 440: 440 miles through picturesque snow-covered landscape in the Northwest Arctic Borough.
It was the final sled dog race of the 2018 mushing season, but for Zoe and me, it was our first time seeing what it’s like to be a trail reporter (that is, covering a race from the trail).
