Nome-Golovin 2017: Final Results

In Nome today, calm, temperate weather greeted the start of a race that is anything but calm or temperate. The Nome-Golovin Snowmachine Race — a 200-mile, round-trip sprint from Nome to Golovin and back — rocketed from the sea ice at exactly 12noon. Its overall champion was James (“Trey”) West III, a C-Class competitor who finished with an overall time of 2 hours, 20 minutes, 43 seconds.

Jalen Katchatag, B-Class, took the title of fastest rookie.
