For this month’s episode of Dearest Alaska, we’re getting a crash course in school spirit during practice for the Stebbins cheerleading team, coached by BSSD’s own Catera Gilmore.
We’ll learn the difference between chants, cheers, and routines, as well as hear about what leading school spirit means for these fourth-to-eighth graders at Tukurngailnguq School.
Dearest Alaska is an experimental audio project; the program will be available on this website and broadcast live on the first Saturday and Sunday of every month at 12noon and 5pm on KNOM (96.1 FM, 780 AM).
