The Nome Port Commission meets Thursday night for a joint work session with the Planning Commission. The two commissions will discuss current and future projects for the port and harbor facility. The projects currently underway include the repair of the Cape Nome Jetty and the seawall, and the expansion of the harbor office.
After the joint work session, the Port Commission will hold a regular meeting to discuss traffic during this year’s season. They will also continue to evaluate plans for a proposed dead man anchor.
The work session begins at 5pm, and the regular meeting will follow at 6:30pm tonight. Both will be held at City Hall.
