The Nome Port Commission is expected to accept the resignation of Commissioner Megan Alvanna-Stimpfle at tonight’s meeting. Alvanna-Stimpfle will not attend the meeting, as she is speaking at the AFN Convention in Fairbanks.
Following her resignation, the Port Commission plans to elect a new secretary. They will also discuss proposed concepts for a new deadman anchor. The proposal was submitted by engineers from PND, a consulting firm.
The Port Commission meets Thursday night at 5:30pm at City Hall.
