In this episode of Dearest Alaska, we are exploring what it is like to play, watch, and experience basketball. At the annual Robert Putto Charles Memorial Basketball Tournament, basketball teams and fans from all over the region gathered in the village of White Mountain for this beloved game. Dearest Alaska was there to speak with players and spectators about what basketball means to them.
Dearest Alaska is a new audio project; the program will be available on this website and broadcast live on the first Saturday and Sunday of every month at 12 noon and 5pm on KNOM (96.1 FM, 780 AM).
