Two-time Iditarod champion Mitch Seavey was the second under the Burled Arch for Iditarod 2015. With a finishing time of 8 days, 22 hours, 22 minutes, and 56 seconds, Mitch arrived to Nome to a cheering crowd and breaking daylight.
Although his son Dallas has bested his arrival to Nome in recent years, Mitch has no plans to retire anytime soon. He says until he finds something as captivating, he’s going to stick with it, and he imagines that will be a long time coming.
