Former Iditarod Champs In Anchorage

It’s been five years since Lance Mackey’s fourth Iditarod victory.

Looking at the 2015 race, he  talks about his young team and the race experience they’ve built this year at the Yukon Quest and the K300. This year is a building year as they put some more big miles behind them, so next year he can put his Comeback Kennel to the test for another victory.

It’s no secret that Jeff King is aiming to win this year’s Iditarod.

Rehashing the year’s races so far, he discusses his strong run in the K300 and his scratch in the Yukon Quest. His moves in those races, he says, directly play into his plan for victory for Iditarod 2015. He’s going “all chips in.”

John Baker has been breeding his 2010 championship team.

The pups are old enough now to be competitive. Baker has faith that the conditions his dogs have seen in training have prepared them well for this year’s mostly flat river-running trail from Fairbanks to Nome.
