U.S. Senator Mark Begich held a Senate Committee on Indian Affairs Field Hearing at the Alaska Federation of Natives Convention, Saturday. Leaders from various Alaska Native regions testified including Kawerak President Melanie Bahnke, raised on St. Lawrence Island, in Savoonga.
