Woodie Salmon wants to be your representative for House District 39. He’ll be running against incumbent Neal Foster in a democratic primary this August. Salmon served as a house rep in the old district six for six year, representing interior communities, as well as communities along the Kuskokwim and Yukon rivers.
Salmon was a pilot for 20 years, and since leaving office, he’s been the city manager of Fort Yukon and the tribal administrator of Chalkyitsik. With the latest round of redistricting, much of Salmon’s old district six has been incorporated into district 39.
