Monday is a great time to play new music.
As we kick off a new work week, I always enjoy playing songs that haven’t been heard too often on our airwaves. New-to-You Music Monday is a blend of new music and some older tunes that just don’t happen to see the light of day as frequently as some other stuff.
Who did we play today?
- We the Kings
- Maroon 5
- Jack’s Mannequin
- Jonny Lange
- Brian McFadden
- Mary Chapin Carpenter

Also on today’s show
We bid farewell to the world’s last Pinta Island Tortoise, Lonesome George. Featured as part of our Endangered Species Spot Series, Lonesome George was the last remaining member of his subspecies, and with his passing yesterday, another one of the world’s animals is now extinct.
Although it is too late to save the Pinta Island Tortoise, there is still plenty you can do to ensure the survival of other threatened species in the world, including the tiger. WWF.org has recently launched a new campaign called Text for Tigers, which aims to double the world’s tiger population by the year 2022.
