Nome-Golovin Racers, in their Own Words

It’s a beautiful day for a snowmachine race.

With clear skies and sunshine – and the sounds of snowmachine engines echoing through Nome’s streets – the Gold Rush city is just hours away from the annual running of the Nome-Golovin Snowmachine Race.

Nome-Golovin 2012 starts at 12noon, with racers departing from near Nome’s East Beach.

We’ll be covering the race live on 96.1fm and 780am as well as on this blog, with photos from the starting line and a live blog later in the afternoon.
