Amid all the Iditarod excitement, we have another race to cover: the Nome-Golovin Snowmachine Race!
The Nome-Golovin Snowmachine Race will send snowmachine (or snowmobile) racers from Nome to Golovin and back on Saturday afternoon, March 12th.
We’ll be bringing you live coverage on KNOM’s airwaves (96.1fm, 780am) from 12noon to 3pm. We’ll also be live-blogging right here during the later part of the race, so keep coming back to KNOM on the Trail for the latest!
In the meantime, here are photos of many of the racers that will be competing Saturday, taken at Thursday’s racer meeting and sign-up event in Nome. We’ll be posting racer interviews Saturday morning; stay tuned!
