Veteran musher Allen Moore has already seen a lot in Iditarod 38, including a wide variety of trail conditions and even a runaway dog team.
Moore shared his thoughts on the race thus far with our on-the-trail reporter, Laureli. He talked about how his previous Iditarod experience has shaped his outlook on this year’s race, as well as how he and his wife (Aliy Zirkle) divide up their dog kennel:

As of early Friday morning, Allen Moore is in 50th position. He left the Takotna checkpoint at 2:15pm on Thursday with 13 dogs.
