Lance Mackey has won three Iditarods in a row, and in 2010, he’ll try to make it four. But as Mackey admits, that’s all up to the dogs.
Mackey talked with our race reporter Laureli during his rest in the Nikolai checkpoint. Mackey says he’s happy to make it a souvenir from this year’s race:
As of late Tuesday night, Lance Mackey is in eighth position, out of McGrath at 10:52pm (Alaska Time) with 13 dogs.
