Short-Term Volunteers

KNOM welcomes short-term volunteers to live the mission in a variety of capacities around the station – whether a work weekend, school break, or a season of service. Individuals, families, and church groups are welcome to apply.

All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, complete a KNOM volunteer application, and receive a clear background check prior to serving as a volunteer.

If you are traveling from outside the Nome area, volunteers are responsible for airfare and obtaining lodging during their stay. KNOM encourages connecting with local churches or city hospitality.
