Bio
Hey out there!
I am a proud, born and raised St. Louisan. I grew up as your typical Gen X latch key kid, playing outside, drinking from the hose, and riding on bikes with friends until the street lights turned on. I’ve always loved TV, movies, and music and had hopes of one day becoming a theater actress. One way or another I was performing whether it was singing, dancing, or participating in drama club.
I joined the Army right out of high school, where I was trained as a firefighter before nursing fell into my lap. I first came to Nome in 2006 as a travel nurse. What was supposed to be “just 3 months” turned into 10- and I moved here permanently in March of 2009 and started a family.
I am truly happiest when in service to others, whether it be taking care of people as a nurse, volunteering with our local VFW, or working with my favorite ministry that supports orphans and widows in developing East African impoverished communities.
In my spare time I love to travel, read, hunt, fish, go camping, hiking, anything arts and crafts, beach combing, tundra trekking, cooking and feeding people, volunteering, and of course spending time with my family, our 2 dogs Wilson and Nova, and our spicy cat, Echo.
